Bio
My wife Sue and I are "blue collar" working class proud parents of our daughter, Lance Corporal Andrews, and her brother, Nick, who is an EMT.At different times I was a contributing writer to various websites, something I had lost interest in as time went on.
However, when Holly joined the USMC, I dusted off an old blog and started writing about her life as a Marine, articles about the Corps, political issues affecting America's armed forces, etc.
I invite you to visit and leave your feedback at the blog, which can be reached at either:

Advice
Describe the positive impact the Marine Corps has made on you.
Since my daughter joined the USMC, I have gained a renewed interest in spreading the word about the dedication, not only of the Marines, but of all the members of America's armed forces.
What makes you proud of the United States Marine Corps?
There are far too many things to list here, so I can best sum it up in the words of the Marines themselves: Honor Courage Commitment
What is a piece of advice you have for recruits, new Marines, or members of the Marine Corps family?
The best piece of advice I can offer a recruit came from my daughter, LCpl Andrews, in a letter she sent while at boot camp at Parris Island, and i actually did a posting about it on my blog. Take one day at a time. Focus on the task at hand, what you need to accomplish NOW, to get through the day, and move on. Don't count how many days you've been in training, or how many you have to go. Do your best at what you are facing right at the moment.
