USMC Graduation and Station at Camp Pendleton - A Poem
My 17 y/o son wrote the poem below for his brother, an 18 y/o new Marine, after he graduated from San Diego in September 2011, and was stationed in California. They are 14 months apart n age, and have never really been away from each other before RT.

My son on his way to being a Marine
I have been reading the stories posted and wanted to share my son's story. When he was in K4 he wrote in a school card that was done for Mother's Day "I love you mom, but one day I'm leaving to be a soldier". I laughed it off at the time.

Educator’s Workshop: Failure to Adapt.
