Can anyone tell me if the basic training 12 weeks on the website at Parris Island is the same exact schedule they keep every time? Is it the same schedule used in MCSD? I am trying to keep up with what my son is doing and where he should be at and basic

Recruit and Specialty Training
Marine Corps training happens in several stages. In order to prepare for life as a Marine, your son or daughter must first go to Recruit Training and then to Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Training (MOS is the term for a Marine's job).
Well it has been almost 3 weeks since my husband left for recruit training in Parris Island. It is very hard not being able to talk to him and not really knowing much of anything i got my first letter from him last friday which was a big relief.

My boyfriend left for bootcamp on July 25th for Parris Island. His parents did recieve a phone call from him that he arrived safely, but it is scripted and you must read word for word.

My son recently graduated boot camp and today he left for rct training at Camp Geiger. The 10 days of leave they get after graduating was not enough time for me to get to know my new Marine.

Recently my son became ill with pnemonia and was hospitalised. He has since been released from the hospital and is back in training. God is good and answers prayers! Now I am more excited than ever for his graduation.
