My son leaving September 4th to basic training

My son is leaving very soon and even though i understand this is what he wants to do my heart does not understand that. I worry so much, will he be okay or his spirit broken? He has never been a problem child and is a joy to have around.

So many feelings

My son is 19 and I dropped him off at the recruiting office two days ago. Today (September 27th) I received a call from him to tell me he was getting ready to get on the airplane but wanted to call to say he loves me one last time.
