History in the USMC Corporal Nicolas Scott Roberts joined the Marine Corps in November 26, 2001, following his graduation from Rocky Mountain High School. Following recruit training he attended the School of Infantry for training as an infantry Marine.
My son left for boot camp September 20, 2010. Today I received a phone call from him, he tells me he has been having trouble with the training because of breathing problems, ammonia and pink eye. I am worried whats going to happen to him there.

My son left for boot camp on June 6, 2011. Initially it was rough for all of us, but now he's doing really well. We can't wait to see him at graduation and are trying to make plans and connect with anyone else who may be in his platoon.

My son left for San Diego, California MCRD on September 21. The phone call was short, but sweet. I have received 3 letters, and now he is in his 2nd phase of training. I won't hear from him for 3 weeks. I miss him.

Yes, I can't believe it either. First it was to be November, then September, then Aug 23rd. I'm so very proud of him. We set it up that when we got the "I'm here" phone call that I would let it go to voice mail. I'm so glad I did.

My daughter, Alexis Acosta with the 4th Recruit Training Battalion, PLT 4029, PAPA Company, completed training on September 10, 2010 and became a Marine! I am so amazed by all recruits that become a Marine.
