Well actually, I am waiting on his first written letter. We dropped our son off at the recruiters office on 9/11/11 and boy was that hard. We got an animated call on the following Thursday giving us instructions on when we would hear from him by mail.

My son is leaving very soon and even though i understand this is what he wants to do my heart does not understand that. I worry so much, will he be okay or his spirit broken? He has never been a problem child and is a joy to have around.

My boyfriend Adam left for boot camp on July 19, 2010 to Parris Island. It was the hardest thing ever. I have received like 6 letters so far. I can't wait 'til his graduation on October 15. I am so proud of him.

Our 18 year old son will be leaving in 4 1/2 months. It really didn't hit home until today when I went to my first parents meeting. I cried through the whole thing. We are fiercely proud of our son.

No words can describe the pain in my heart
My son Tyler left Monday September 5th, headed to Louisville Ky. He took my heart with him, when I left the recruiters office my heart ripped out of my chest. I cried for hours until I cried myself to sleep.
