I would please like to know if the Active Marines are taking prior services from different branch? I worked with a recruiter a few months ago, but they could only get me a slot for Marine Reserve.

About 18 years ago I had several friends in the Marines that were stationed at 29 Palms. My son was 1 at the time and never would I have thought he would join the Marines. He tried the Coast Guard, Army, National Guard and the Air force.

My son's name is Brandon W. Smith. The last I heard he was in the Marine Reserves out of Spokane, WA. I am very proud of my son. He wanted to join the Marines just out of high school, but his father wouldn't let him. He later joined as was his wish.
