About 18 years ago I had several friends in the Marines that were stationed at 29 Palms. My son was 1 at the time and never would I have thought he would join the Marines. He tried the Coast Guard, Army, National Guard and the Air force.

My son's name is Brandon W. Smith. The last I heard he was in the Marine Reserves out of Spokane, WA. I am very proud of my son. He wanted to join the Marines just out of high school, but his father wouldn't let him. He later joined as was his wish.

moving to okinawa

 

My marine is currently stationed in Okinawa. We plan on getting married in August. Of course he wants me to move an live on base with him. As of now we have been separate during all of his training.

My husband was in the AirForce and has rejoined, this time into the AirForce Reserves, he is currently serving in Iraq. My oldest son is in the Marine Corps. He is currently getting ready to head to Afganistan for his deployment.
