My son left for Parris Island on July 12, 2010. I cried and later got that call 'I am here' and cried some more. I got letters and cried some more. Now he will graduate in about 2 weeks, and I could not be more proud of him.

I want to start by saying... For a long time my outlook of seeing a Marine was... attitude. When my oldest son was 13 he said that he wanted to go to the recruiting station. I said it would be fine.

My first born left Feb 7,2011 and what a sad time. iI didn't want him to leave cause I was thinking about how much we are all going to miss him. But now it does not bother me much that he's away doing what he wants to do I'm so proud of him.
