Son in Boot Camp Paris Island

 

Well we have received the phone call and are now waiting on the mailing address. Our son is on his way to being a US Marine. We are proud, and nervous.

Correct Address

 

I have 3 different addresses for my daughter at Parris Island. The first one I received from her recruiter 4 days after she departed. Then, I received the form letter sent to parents. It is similar, but now has a PO Box.

I got my first letter!

 

My son, Andrew, left for boot on 15 November. I got "the call" late that night (he's in San Diego) and haven't heard anything until today - there was the letter waiting for me! I wanted to cry when my husband called to tell me he sent a letter.

STARTED BOOT CAMP PI NOV. 7, 2011

 

My son is 21 years old and an EMT but decided he wanted to join the Marines. He entered into the Delayed Entry Program in July and left for Parris Island this past Sunday, Nov. 7. I got his phone call on Monday, Nov. 8 around 9:45 pm.
