Hi all! I'm the proud mom of a future Marine! My poolees "ship out" date is in the 3rd week of August 2012. He just graduated high school a few weeks ago...he is 17 and will be turning 18 one month into boot camp.

I got my first letter from my little sister today. She writes to tell me about how hard it is. She asks for vitamins & stamps....those are precious to her. She tells me that if I should send anything, it should be simple & enough for the entire platoon.

My son left for SD 9/20/10. I have been waiting on a letter and finally got an envelope in the mail, it was a form letter he just wrote Mom and Dad and signed his name. I was kind of disappointed but at least now I have his address and can write him.
