Son left for Japan

 

Believe me I thought when my son left 2 years ago now for bootcamp was hard, but he has now left for Japan. I should be grateful for that he is not in harms way like so many of them are. Does it get any better the longer they are in.

My Son is Station in Japan

 

My son will graduate from MSO school in 17 days. He gets to come home for 10 days then he will leave Japan. He has been stationed there for 2yr but was told his wife and 11 mt old son cannot go.

Missing my little boy....

 

Oh how I miss my little boy, I miss him sitting on my lap, cuddling with me while we watched movies, just being able to see him & hug him whenever I want. Well as you know my son is a Marine, so he is no longer "my little boy" but is now a Man.

I'll never be the same

 

Once I joined and did my tour around the globe, I was honorably processed out. Now 5 years later, I still shine with my soon to be wife by my side. That I may be a civilian but I will always be a United States Marine always.

Marine Nephew

 

My nephew is a Marines in Japan now. I could not be prouder as a uncle for him. He has learned and done so much. I just met him for the first time in December of 2010 at Christmas while he was home on leave what a fine gentlemen he is turned out to be.

My husband has been in the service for ten months now. I was with him when he went to Parris Island and Palm Springs and those experiences were nothing like the one with him being in Okinawa, Japan.

My Son, My Hero, My Marine

 

My son graduated from boot camp on June 19, 2009. I felt like the most proud mom there. Although I am so sure all moms were feeling the same. Tears fell from my eyes as I ran to hug him. What relief I felt, to have my baby in my arms again.

Thank you, Marine Corps

 

Just a short note to anyone who may be wondering what the Marine Corps can do for them. Prior to joining in 1997, I had limited contact with family, was running around with a less than desirable crowd and really didn't know what to do with my future.

My Father was a Marine (Herman N. Turner, Jr.)

 

My father was honorary discharged from the Marine Corp in 1947. The only thing I have of his is a globe & anchor emblem and his picture (as a Marine).
