I am currently enlisted in the USMC DEP program. I plan to leave for PI on 20120729. If there any female Marines on here, i would really appreciate any advice on what to expect. I dont want to know to much though.

Two years ago in June, my daughter left for Boot Camp. It wasn't easy letting her go, but I think she made one of the best decisions that she could've ever made. I always let her know that I was supporting her every step of the way.

I thank God daily that my daughter is a United States Marine.She is almost 3years in the corps, just completed a 5 months pre deployment training and is now PROUDLY serving her country in AFGHANISTAN.

My daughter left for PI on Nov 7. Her first letter was heartbreaking as she was so home sick. The last few have been much better. She told me she hurt her knee and is on crutches.

My niece just graduated from Parris Island on Saturday, Sept. 3. The feeling of pride I have for her and all of the Marine family is incredible. If you are concerned about your daughter going into boot camp, don't worry.
