Hi all! I'm the proud mom of a future Marine! My poolees "ship out" date is in the 3rd week of August 2012. He just graduated high school a few weeks ago...he is 17 and will be turning 18 one month into boot camp.

Son Departed for PI Oct 24th 2011
My son has been in the delayed entry program for 5 months. I was so ready for him to go, all he was doing was surfing and late nights. He was bored and ready to go as I was ready for him to go as well. Now I miss him so much.

STARTED BOOT CAMP PI NOV. 7, 2011
My son is 21 years old and an EMT but decided he wanted to join the Marines. He entered into the Delayed Entry Program in July and left for Parris Island this past Sunday, Nov. 7. I got his phone call on Monday, Nov. 8 around 9:45 pm.

I wanted to be a Marine every since I was 8yrs old. I enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program as soon as it was the summer of my junior year and went to boot camp a year later. From 1995 to 2003 I proudly served in The US Marine Corps.

History in the USMC Sergeant Galante attended North Penn High School and enlisted in the Marine Corps on Dec. 9, 2002, thru the Delayed Entry Program. In February 2002, he reported to basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C.
