My son David left for Parris Island on 8/8/11 and he is graduating on 11/4/11. I have received 5 letters from David and he is really enjoying his time at boot camp.

I miss him so much. I love him with all my heart. He left 08/08/11 for San Digeo. I couldn't be more proud of him. He's the greatest. My heart hasn't been in the right place these past few days and I regret that so much.

As I sit here looking at the curser blink at me I am still in shock. I thought that putting my son on the van at Fort Lee, in VIrginia was the hardest thing I would ever have to do.

Boyfriend left for Parris Island
My boyfriend of over a year just left for boot camp yesterday and I'm really upset. We both knew this day would eventually come, because they kept changing his ship date, but now that it's here, I don't know how I'll make it.

Ok so I met my boyfriend my freshman yr in High School and we talked on and off well just over this past summer in 2012 we finally started dating after he came home from Basic Training! Well it's been really hard because I love him so much and I miss him

Hi, My son left for SD boot on August 23. My husband & I cried most of the way home from dropping him off for the stay to ship on 8/23. We got the "10 second call" at 10:30 SD time, 12:30 our time. We have gotten 4 letters so far.

My fiancée left for Parris Island August 30th. I have not gotten my first letter yet, but I am waiting patiently, it is hard to get use to him not being here, but I know that this is for the best.
