My son left 8/8/11 for Parris Island boot camp. It was hard. He is our oldest leaving the nest. He didn't leave the first time to journey to college or just summer camp.

Yes, my son left for bootcamp on 8/8/11. We received a call on 8/12/11 letting us know that he has been placed in an Evaluation Holding Platoon. Apparently, he has inflammation in the veins of his ankles.

Yesterday we dropped Joe at the Marine Recruiters office. Today 8/22/11 he should be arriving @ Parris Island S.C. We miss him so much but we know this is where he wanted his journey to begin.

My oldest son Nick left yesterday Tuesday August 14th for Paris Island. I was up all night waiting for the phone call that he arrived safely, is there anyone else awaiting that call, not sure how long it takes, but I expected the call last night..

My son David left for Parris Island on 8/8/11 and he is graduating on 11/4/11. I have received 5 letters from David and he is really enjoying his time at boot camp.

I miss him so much. I love him with all my heart. He left 08/08/11 for San Digeo. I couldn't be more proud of him. He's the greatest. My heart hasn't been in the right place these past few days and I regret that so much.

My son shipped 8/01/11 MCRD San Diego. I have to say that saying goodbye to him at the airport was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

As I sit here looking at the curser blink at me I am still in shock. I thought that putting my son on the van at Fort Lee, in VIrginia was the hardest thing I would ever have to do.
