The Demands of Service
There is no doubt that serving our country is a demanding path both for Marines and their families, but it is equally a rewarding one.
Marine Recruit Training and MOS training are intentionally difficult. They have to be, in order to prepare each recruit and Marine for service. During active duty and deployment, Marines do whatever it takes to accomplish the mission at hand. And, throughout their lives, Marines commit to upholding the highest standards of character, in uniform and out. This path is the ultimate test of a Marine’s character and a family’s strength.
What gets Marines and their families through the demands of service is knowing that they are selflessly helping to defend and protect the values and safety of our nation. The rewards—pride, purpose and brotherhood—belong to those individuals and families who rise to the challenge. Also, there are thousands of other Marine families ready to provide support and encouragement.
