I’m Captain Lisa Lawrence from Houston, Texas. I’m Corporal Oscar Franquez from Santa Clarita, California. I’m Captain Justin Howe from Chesapeake, Virginia. I’m Captain Ted Hubbard. Rye, New York is where I’m from. A United States Marine is who I am. As a United States Marine, I am proud to protect my home, Columbia, South Carolina, and yours, everyday. The few, the proud, the Marines.
For Marines, all of America is their community. Each Marine also remembers the community he or she grew up in, the place forever called home. In February, the Marine Corps is honoring the communities it proudly defends by highlighting the stories of Marines and their hometowns. Americans everywhere are also invited to participate, by going to Marines.com/WhereImFrom, viewing the Marine stories and adding their own community shout-out.
