Hi All, I just found this site and very happy about it. I want to introduce myself, My name is Sandy , my son left for boot camp the 17th, he is at Parris Island. It has been so hard not to cry, It has been two days now,and getting a little better, just as long as I keep myself busy.. He really wanted to join so his positive attitude made it easier up till the 17th.

Hi Everyone,
My son too left on 9/17 for PI. He has always wanted to be a Marine for as long as I can remember. I miss not talking to him. Sure he went off to visit friends or family for long periods of time on his summer breaks but the idea of not talking to him is exremely hard. Before I just had to pick up the phone, can't do that now. Finally got the form letter with an address. Hope you all have received yours as well. 3rd BTN Kilo Co PLT 3102. I know he's in good hands. We are so proud of him. Can't wait to see him on 12/13 for Family Day and Graduation 12/14!!

Hi Sandy. My name is Sylvia. My son also left to boot camp on the 17th. He is also in Parris Island. I cry everyday, I can't wait till I get his first letter just to make sure he's ok. I think that will make it easier. At least thats what I hear.
