Our recruit left for boot on 16 April. We didn't hear from him until about a week and a half later. We were sweating bullets waiting to hear how he was. Then we got our first letter from him. Frankly I was a little shocked. He was quite distraught in his letter. He was not a happy camper to say the least. I didn't know what to think. I was very worried for him.
But then we got his second letter. In it, he was much more settled and in control. He has a long way to go, but I can already see the progression process. I think he is going to be just fine.
