I am also the mom of a Marine. Mine went to boot camp in August. The day he left for boot camp was the hardest day. He is my only and not being able to see/hear him is like not being able to breath. It is hard as the mom to let go. And not that him being away gets easier or better...it just becomes a part of your life. I wish him the best. You can get through this. Be there for graduation. That first hug on family day is the best hug you will ever receive from him.
