I know I'm not a Marine, but for one my uncle was a Marine he told me his stories of how he traveled to different places around the world and what he did to protect his fellow marines. He is now a firefighter in the town i live in and is still helping people. My story isn't about my uncle though, its about the marines who took the initiative to save me from an asthma attack i was having at a concert down the street from my house and the Marines happened to be there.
I was being pushed around a lot and had to move fast through the crowded floor in front of the stage, i started to have trouble breathing and next thing i know I'm on the floor almost passed out. A couple seconds later i was lifted up by someone and this person helped me out of the crowd and sat me down and then i noticed there were three Marines standing around me asking if i was okay. I couldn't breathe that well, but my breathing got better after a minute or two and i thanked the brave Marines in helping me up and if it wasn't for them i probably would have been passed out or dead on the floor, no one would've thought to help me up off the ground other than these men.
I wish i could have told their Superior officer or the person that would be in charge of them, of what they did that day to bring out the characters in them. Who knows they could have gotten award or something. I just wanted to tell my story of what the marines are doing communities and we should respect them for who they are and what they do.
