My son left for Boot Camp in San Diego on 01/23/12 - Even as a small child he liked to have things in order and discipline was part of his structure. I wasn't really surprised when he made the choice to join the Marines. It must have taken a lot of will power for him to leave, since we were heartbroken to see him go. I still find it hard to beleive he is so far away and in such a different world now but the Marines will be so good for his future and I am so very proud of him.

Mother
Patty,
My son left a year ago on 1/23/11 to go to San Diego for Boot Camp & he is now stationed in Okinawa Japan. I know just how your feeling. I also know how great it will be for you to see your son after he has become a Marine.
Good luck
Carolyn
