My pap was Marc Joseph Antoine. He was a lance corporal, a corporal and a private first class. He was certified as a machine gunner and was assigned militery occupational speciality 0331 given to him at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. This was all in 1966-1968.
He has recently passed away due to many things and tomorrow is his burrial. He will have full military rites. That is what all made me decide to share his story. He inspired me alot and he was my role model.
He fought in Vietnam and when he was over there he was shot through the very upper thigh. He was then sent to a hospital and when he went back to check on all his buddies ans the men he had worked with, he found out they all had died. He always said that is why this was like his second life. He has fought to live so much but now it just got to the point where he was unable to say he was "living".
