My Daughter Just left on Monday for Richmond and arriived at Parris Island Yesterday 11/29. Is there anyway we can track the day to day process of bootcamp? I feel so empty at the moment and I know it will get better it was just letting her go that was the hardest thing iv'e ever had to do. Like she told me on our last phone call " mum Iv'e got this! don't worry."

Please write her letters each day talk to her like she was sitting next to you describe what is going on in your life send her memories of the moments she was so strong she is going to need this and when you get the address send them all at once with stamps and envelopes...she is going to need them! The first letter will break your heart it is ok, it will get better.

I was in your shoes 12 weeks ago. Just got back from Parris Island with my Marine. I connected with moms on Facebook through the MCRD PARRIS ISLAND, SC - OFFICIAL PAGE also. But I found the below website very helpful-

Look on the left under 'Recruit Training'. It has TONS of information. I printed the Marine Corps Bootcamp Training Matrix and marked off each day. It may not be 100% accurate, but it is close.
For more accurate info on your daughter's company, www.parrisisland.yuku.com will have great infomation and from time to time some pictures!

I am in the "same boat" as you. We are having a terrible time adjusting to all of the emotions weare dealing with!! Our Son arrived 11/28, and we received our 10 second phone-cal from him at 12:41am on 11/29.

We came across ACTUAL PHOTOS of OUR SON & other new Recruits running into "receiving" at Parris Island, in one of their picture albums!!
ALSO, I was referred to a WONDERFUL online forum specificly for parents & loved ones of Marines, Marine Recruits, etc...it is AMAZING! My husband & I have already spent countless hours on it, and "meeting" other parents of Recruits!! You will love it!!
