Feb 2011 my 18 yr old let me know he was not going to go to college but was going to join the Marines. Now with him gone to boot camp this week Aug 9th 2011--I reach for this site to help share my story with other moms and dads to prepare them for their sons steps into bootcamp. If I can help someone else go through this process it will be all worth it. I will soon be a Marine Mom..

Hello Charlotte,
I got your message through Mai's post.
I'm so happy to hear that our sons are together.
Maybe we can tell each other stories.
I'm thinking about signing up on FB and talk to you guys.
Today is not a good day for me, because I didn't
get the anticipated letter! your news cheered me up.
Thank you for your response.
God bless our boys and keep them strong.

Hello Charlotte,
My son also has the same age as yours. He went to boot camp on 8/8. to MCRD San Diego.
Thank you for your offer. That's what we need "support". Please keep in touch, like you I would
like to be in contact with parents in the same situation.
Praying for each other! Support each other like our kids are doing down there in the boot camp and for the rest of their lives as a Marines!
