Hello All, I've enjoyed reading your stories and having folks write back to mine. One of the earlier posts referenced a book titled "Making the Corps" by Thomas E. Ricks and I wanted to say that it is fascinating. It really seems to parallel what our loved ones are going through during Boot Camp. I've been trying to stay in sync with my son David Dougal's schedule (he's in PLT 3097, Parris Island) so I can get some glimpse into what he's doing. The book, along with the online day by day phase training schedule has been great. We've already booked flights & hotels for graduation. Found some reasonable prices. Don't forget to ask for the Parris Island discount as many of the hotels offered them. For those of you whose loved ones are graduating on Dec 10th - hope to meet you then. Take care - Jan.
