My son shipped out on 9/13/10. 3rd BN, Mike Co. PLT 3101. I miss him sooo much. Our house is too quiet now. He turned 19 years old last Monday 9/27. Anyone out there with a son or daughter in the same PLT?

Hi Cherie, my son Jordan is in PLT. 3101. Our house is a little quieter, but there are still three at home to make lots of noise. We have received a number of letters from him and he seems to be getting along just fine. They are starting Phase II this week and by next week will be half way done. They are working hard and being changed into Marines. Praying for all of our sons in this platoon.

Hi my son left about a week before yours and believe me it has been hard since he left. He is my oldest son.

Brenda, thanks for writing back. I feel so much of the same thing you are feeling. But we have to remember that our sons are courageous and determined. They should be finishing Phase I soon, and that just means that we are 1 day closer to seeing our sons again, (or I should say, seeing our new Marines!) I hope to meet you too at graduation.

Cherie, I am not good at using this system. Thank you for you comment. After he left I kept "thinking" I heard the front door close or him coming up the stairs. It was hard. I love to get his letters. I read them over and over. I get them every Thursday. He says the guys in his platoon are pretty cool. We write to him everyday. Keep in touch. Hopefully I will see you at graduation.
