My sons letter regarding boot camp I must say was of the up most interesting. He has four sisters, he mentions about the chores they have and states they should appreciate the little bit I ask them to do. That they do not know what work is until you clean like his troop does. After all these years of hearing from the children, not so much from him, they were tired and did not want to do what was needed done, I never laughed so hard in an appreciation way. There he is, a young man who always helped around the house without asking and seldom tried to get out of housework, was showing appreciation of the tasks and way I do things. Giving advice to his sisters about housework. Unfortunately my girls being the way they are did not take the advice to heart yet, but the realization that was setting in, my son is not a little boy no more, he is a man. He is finally getting all that I have preached through the years. He was not one to complain, and not a person to question much, but I always said that there will come a time when it will click and you will call or write and say now I understand. I truly like the rest of you can not wait to see my child in November. I also can not wait for him to hear me say thank you, for I always tried my best to do right by my children, but he has exceeded all of what I would hope he would be, I could not be more proud.
