My husband left Sept 7. He called me that night from the hotel. He said he would be leaving for MEPS the next day and then off to San Diego. I've been waiting for his call but haven’t received it yet. Hopefully I receive a letter soon.

My son left for Boot Camp on August 23 and we just received his address and DI letter on September 13 (the beginning of his third week). You may have to wait but once you get his address the mail can flow his way!

My son Mike also left on 9/7 for boot camp in San Diego. I too haven't heard anything from my son. I already have a couple letters all set and ready to be mailed telling him how much I love him, Now just need an address to send them to :) We live in Phoenix. According the the schedule I saw, our sons and your husband "should" be in Golf Company together. What is your son and husband's name. I'll ask my son if he knows them. My son is Mike Duddy

My son also left on 9/7 for boot camp in San Diego. I was hoping to reach out to someone else that had loved ones in the same platoon. I guess it is too early to tell as we have also not received the first letter. As you stated, we only received the 10 second phone call from San Diego saying he arrived and we would get the post card with the address. The post card has yet to arrive. I want to write to him very badly but... guess later this week will have to do. Let me know when you know what platoon he is in. Maybe we can share information on what is going on in SAN.
