My son is in week 7 of training. He left July 19th, 2010 only a month after graduating high school. He writes weekly and is doing well. We are so proud of him but I miss him terribly. I know he will be a strong warrior. Our prayers are with him everyday.

Hope all worked out for your son. Mine just left Sunday night and 2 weeks after graduation. Seemed sooo fast. They wanted him to leave the Monday before graduation but I told them no. I waited too long to see him get that diploma and nobody, not even the Marine Corps was going to deprive me of that moment.
