Why you should join the Marines.

I am currently an active duty Sergeant. I have multiple deployments including a year in Afghanistan. I will never look back on my time in and regret any of it. What you should know if you are thinking about joining is that is sucks. A lot. Boot camp sucks. MOS school sucks. Deployments suck. When you are new to the fleet you will be a glorified janitor. Cleaning toilets, taking out trash, cutting grass will become second nature to you. But if you stick it out and do well enough, the rewards you will reap will outnumber the bad times 100 fold. The friends and experiences will be with you for the rest of your life. If you decide to make a career out of it, your time will get better then longer you stay in. If you do one enlistment and get out then that is fine too. It is a trade off. 4 years of suck for a lifetime of reward. If you have even an ounce of curiosity i say give it a shot. Anyone can make it if you want it bad enough.
