My son left on 2/04/2013 to Parris Island

 

I just received his first letter, happiest day in a long time!! He is my only son and I miss him so much!! I pray to God to keep him safe and strong!!

Proud, but nervous Mom

 

My son left on Feb. 10, 2013 for boot camp. Whenever I think of him being shouted at and belittled it makes me physically sick. I spent 18 years trying to build him up and now complete strangers want to break him down.

Bootcamp

 

After completing one year at a pricy college, my son left for Parrish Island on 1/14/13 to become a US Marine. So off he went with his 28 college credits.

my son just left for parris island

 

we took him to the hotel on sunday ,he left on monday...i got his short call monday night about 10;30...oh my gosh ...i miss him so much...i cant stop thinking about..im so proud of him though..i love him so so much...my heart is aching...

QUESTION ABOUT FAMILY DAY

 

I'm the girlfriend of a guy who will graduate from Parris Island in 2 weeks. I was just wondering how you find your Marine on family day? Do they come to you, or do you go find them, how does it work? I don't want to get there and seem naive or clueless..

Love The Marines

 

When I joined the Marines my intentions was for 20 years. At the time a certain few could not accept differences(color) . I love the Marines. taught me values that carries me today. regretably had to leave marines after first term, very sad day for me.

3rd time around

 

I just left my son at the Hotel the night before his processing. Why is mine different? This is the 3rd time we have had the agonizing weekend before his leaving. He is 6'8" and is skinny.

Boot camp

 

My son was suppose to leave on April 8th, he was moved up to January 28th, we had four days to get ready. Not nearly enough time. Like the other mother that was not nearly enough time. I would cry one day and be so proud the next.

i have a questionnn!!!

 

Okay, so my boyfriend just left for California to do MTC stuff. I was wondering if he'd have his phone?? I'm pretty sure he will when he's in Virginia for MOS training... He's in intelligence but I don't know about now...
