the phone call - gut wrenching!
My son...we left him at the recruiting station at 5:00 pm Sunday night (8/7/11). He was MCRD San Diego bound. I kept my composure until the very end...when we were saying our good-byes..for now. I cried like a baby..

My boyfriend left to bootcamp today
My boyfriend left last night to bootcamp and his first day was today November 14. it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, to say goodbye to him last night and leave. I am so sad and I cant stop crying.

Well I dropped my son off at his recruiters office today and he got the bus for MEPS in Jax. I am very proud of him but will miss him like crazy.

Hi all! I'm the proud mom of a future Marine! My poolees "ship out" date is in the 3rd week of August 2012. He just graduated high school a few weeks ago...he is 17 and will be turning 18 one month into boot camp.
