Our Values

Solid moral values and leadership characteristics are essential to our curriculum, the institution and successful missions. Marines rely on each other every day, so we must teach, test and expect the highest level of character from every member of the team, leaders included.

Our Core Values: Honor, Courage and Commitment.

Honor means they will live by the highest ethical and moral standards, have respect for others, and act in a responsible, mature and dependable manner.

Courage means they have the ability to face fear and overcome it. They will use mental, moral and physical strength to steady themselves in times of stress, rise to the challenge and face the new and the unknown.

Commitment means they feel determined and dedicated to a purpose. They vow to serve something bigger than themselves and won't stop until a goal is reached.

Our Leadership Traits dictate that all members of Marine leadership will demonstrate:

  • Bearing, creating a favorable impression in appearance and personal conduct at all times
  • Courage, acting calmly and confidently in the face of fear, danger or criticism
  • Decisiveness, making decisions quickly and executing them effectively
  • Dependability, performing duties properly, on time and to the best of their abilities
  • Endurance, having the mental and physical stamina to withstand pain, fatigue, stress and hardship
  • Enthusiasm, showing sincere interest and excitement in the performance of an activity
  • Initiative, taking action in the absence of orders to solve a problem
  • Integrity, acting truthfully and honestly, showing good character and soundness of moral principles
  • Judgment, weighing facts and possible solutions on which to base sound decisions
  • Justice, giving consideration to each side of a situation and assigning rewards or punishment based on merit
  • Knowledge, having a wide range of information, including professional knowledge and an understanding of team members’ capabilities
  • Loyalty, showing faithfulness to country, family, friends, subordinates and peers
  • Tact, acting politely and avoiding offense while dealing with others
  • Unselfishness, acting considerately and avoiding personal advancement at the expense of others

Our Leadership Principles dictate that leaders of Marines will:

  • Be technically and tactically proficient
  • Know themselves and seek self-improvement
  • Know their Marines and look out for their welfare
  • Keep their Marines informed
  • Set the example
  • Ensure the task is understood, supervised and accomplished
  • Train their Marines as a team
  • Make sound and timely decisions
  • Develop a sense of responsibility in their subordinates
  • Employ their unit in accordance with its capabilities
  • Seek responsibility and take responsibility for their actions

I have instill the morals and values my 19 yr.old son should have while growing up. Now he can really use them the way they should be used with responsibility and confidence ...
